Membership Benefits Review

INCA’s members are at the heart of our mission and purpose and we are fortunate to be part of a vibrant and growing sector. This is reflected in INCA's diverse membership, which includes both established and new altnet operators, suppliers, vendors, local authorities, consultants, and other groups that support our mission.

In the past few months we have been reviewing our membership benefits and fees, with the aim of enhancing the value of INCA membership to members old and new, and also to ensure that we can continue to provide a sustainable service to members. As part of this we're developing plans for further service improvements, of which a little more below. We are also working on an enhanced events programme for 2020 – more on that as move into the new year.

This is a summary of the benefits on offer to our members in different tiers and the changes to the fees approved by INCA’s board. Fee changes will apply to new membership applications received from January 1st 2020, and will be applied to all existing members at the next renewal date.

Tier One Membership

Premium Membership for leading organisations in the digital infrastructure sector – operators, vendors and suppliers.

Benefits:

  • Full participation in all INCA policy and other working groups

  • Access to INCA’s regular C-level Policy & Regulatory briefings
  • Full access to INCA's other Policy & Regulatory activities
  • Guaranteed participation in leadership events such as high level round tables and dinners. In the recent past these have included a dinner with the Government’s digital minister, and lunch the with the Chief Executive of Ofcom.
  • Up to 20% discount on delegate fees at INCA Conference
  • Attractive discounted sponsorship package for INCA events
  • Two free passes for the INCA Annual Conference
  • Access to INCA Member Briefings and other mailings
  • Voting rights at INCA’s AGM and other General Meetings of members
  • Access to the INCA Gold Standard Quality Mark
  • Listing in the INCA Marketplace
  • Access to the INCA video blog service & Youtube channel

Annual Fee - £5,000 +VAT  (was £4,400 +VAT)

Tier Two Membership

Full Membership for fast-growing organisations in the sector

Benefits:

  • Participation by invitation to INCA working groups

  • Access to INCA’s regular C-level Policy & Regulatory briefings
  • Participation by invitation to INCA's other Policy & Regulatory activities
  • Participation by invitation in leadership events such as high level round tables and dinners
  • Up to 15% discount on delegate fees at INCA Conference
  • Attractive discounted sponsorship package for INCA events
  • One free pass for the INCA Annual Conference
  • Access to INCA Member Briefings and other mailings
  • Voting rights at INCA’s AGM and other General Meetings of members
  • Access to the INCA Gold Standard Quality Mark
  • Listing in the INCA Marketplace
  • Access to the INCA video blog service & Youtube channel
  • PR opportunities through INCA’s partnership with ProActive PR
  • Access to all other INCA benefits

Annual Fee: £2,000 +VAT (was £1,200 +VAT)

Tier Three Membership

Incubator Membership for start-up and local networks

Benefits:

  • Participation by invitation to INCA working groups
  • Access to the INCA Policy & Regulatory Full Service Package for an additional feel of £3000 +VAT p.a.
  • Up to 10% discount for delegate fees at INCA Conference
  • Voting rights at INCA’s AGM and other General Meetings of members
  • Access to INCA Member Briefings and other membership communications
  • Listing in the INCA Marketplace
  • Access to the INCA video blog service & Youtube channel
  • PR opportunities through INCA’s relationship with ProActive PR
  • Access to other INCA benefits

Fee: £500 (+VAT) per annum (No change)

Tier Four Public Sector Membership

A special membership category for Local Authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships, recognising their vital role in the development of the UK’s digital infrastructure.

Benefits:

  • Invitation to attend INCA Conference and other events

  • Observer status at INCA AGM and other General Meetings
  • Access to INCA Member Briefings and other membership communications

Annual Fee: Free of charge (No change)

Tier Five Associate & Affiliate Membership

A membership category for:

  • Accredited consultants and those offering professional services to the sector.
  • Professional organisations and trade bodies working in associated fields. Where reciprocal membership is mutually agreeable, we can waive our membership fee.

Benefits:

  • Invitation to attend INCA Conference and other events

  • Observer status at INCA AGM and other General Meetings Access to INCA Member Briefings and other membership communications

Annual Fee: £250 +VAT (No change)

Additional Benefits in the Pipeline

We are working on a number of additional services for INCA Members:

  • Full Service Policy & Regulatory Package – we are working with our partners at Political Intelligence and GOS Consulting to develop the range of policy and regulatory support that INCA can provide to our members. Early in the New Year we will market test the package for a launch in February.
  • Social Media – amplification of your message. We have been working to build up INCA’s social media presence, particularly through LinkedIn and Twitter. We are keen to help you extend your reach wherever possible.
  • Youtube Channel - We are building up a channel of videos on Youtube, produced by our media partners Proactive International PR. We have negotiated with Proactive to offer an attractive filming and video production service to INCA Members.
  • Member Directory and Marketplace – Many INCA members have developed mutually beneficial trading relationships through INCA’s conferences and events. We are developing an enhanced member directory and marketplace to help facilitate inter-trading.
