Over a period of about 18 months starting in 2022 the government conducted a review of economic regulators, with an initial focus on the energy and water sectors.
INCA argued strongly that the review should include Ofcom's regulation of the telecoms sector, a view that was accepted by DSIT and DBT.
INCA's response to the review argued that government should provide unambiguous clarification of Ofcom's duty to promote infrastructure competition.
